Movie Spoiler The Thin Man. As you may have heard Oscar-nominated director Rob Marshall is reuniting with Johnny Depp after joining his latest incredibly profitable Pirates of the Caribbean adventure. He'll helm an update of the 1930s comedy-noir classic The Thin Man, based on Dashiell Hammett's novel tracking married crime sleuths Nick and Nora Charles. The beloved film earned four Oscar nominations (Picture, Director, Screenplay, Actor) and spawned five sequels. Part of its charm were the the banter and the performances. Today's audiences aren't has thirsty for great dialogue (if their viewing habits are any indication), so casting will be crucial to bring to life whatever "story" they cull from their sources. I've already made my prediction as to who will get cast in the role of Nora Charles. It shouldn't be too long until we find out.
