In Movie Stocks Today: Demand for Shakespeare Is Down
Posted on 8:22 AM by Unknown
Al Pacino won an Oscar after eight nominations two decades ago. Since, he has won Two Emmys and Golden Globes each for playing real-life controversial figures Roy Cohn and Jack Kevorkian. Is he really hungry for more awards? Or do fictional characters not provide the same kind of challenges for him as an actor? Phil Spector was already a caricature of himself. We can start with his hair and then move on to his eulogy of Ike Turner. I suppose portraying the "reality" of the situation leaves little room for a completely sobering examination of the man. Still, what's going on with Helen Mirren's hair? The Spector trial was in the 2000s, not the 1970s, no? At any rate, what do you think of this picture in the context of the upcoming HBO project?
