From the sound of it, Delpy delivers the goods as she had the two previous installments. It all depends on how the AMPAS will respond to it. The second film actually managed to garner a best screenplay nomination, which was a way to honor the director and both actors. The same thing could happen this time around and there is the outside possibility that they decide to also honor its leading lady. Celine and Jesse first met in Venice, and then ran into each other in Paris. Their latest sojourn takes place in Greece. The main crew is mostly new, though Linklater had held onto his editor Sandra Adair. SPC will be distributing the film, which releases in the U.S. on the 24th of May.

Best Actress 2013: Julie Delpy, Before Midnight
Posted on 8:39 AM by Unknown
Celine and Jesse are back. The young lovers who quietly created a stir in Richard Linklater's Before Sunrise, reunited nine years later for Before Sunset. Now, as if on cue, the exact same amount of time has passed, and we get to check back in on the pair, in the sequel Before Midnight that has been as passionately embraced by critics as the first two, first at Sundance and now at Berlin. Film School Rejects: "Julie Delpy is luminous." Twitch: "Delpy and Hawke so embody their characters that it's almost impossible not to believe they've been living their lives as Celine and Jesse since we last saw them." Movie City News fell in love with the movie but wasn't specific about Delpy. About the same went for THR, Cinema Blend. Perhaps because, as Ion Cinema puts it, " it goes without saying that Hawke and Delpy are in top form here, and have, to their credit, given us one of the best trilogies in American cinema."
